Fitness has become a part of my life since my teenage years as a Cheerleader.

I became a Group Fitness Instructor in 1995 after 9 years of training with a Bodybuilding Pro. During that time, I found that I loved helping people achieve strength, endurance, balance, and other fitness goals.  Weight training is my passion! However, I have an appreciation for all fitness arenas and enjoy versatility in my training which includes Zumba, Pound, TRX, Bosu, the Stability Ball and more!

I became a Certified Personal Trainer through AFAA (American Fitness Association of America), in 2004 and have never looked back.  Helping people one on one or small group training, in gyms, in homes, and even programs in parks has enhanced my ability to train a variety of people. I have also helped young people who have a desire to learn fitness through a children’s program from the age of 8 and above.

I am an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Exercise Physiologist. I hold a B.S. in Exercise Science and enjoy living a holistic lifestyle balancing regular exercise, simplistic eating habits, and rest. I aim to make fitness accessible to anyone who wants to live a healthier lifestyle. I believe movements plays an important role overall in the later stages of the aging process. Fitness is not a one-size fits all aspect, and that is what I think makes it so awesome! Every person is unique in and of themselves and I enjoy helping people find unique and various ways to exercise. I believe functionality is very important and can lead to a more efficient workout as well as make everyday activities easier to accomplish. I believe there is more than one way to challenge the muscles other than lifting extremely heavy weights repeatedly. This is especially important as we age. My goal is to create a more accessible and enjoyable experience by making exercise a more functional activity for everyone.

I have recently become a certified ISSA Personal Trainer. I am a strong believer and worship leader at my home church, and I've been through multiple transformations throughout my life, but in 2022, I woke up one day and stared at myself in the mirror realizing "I'm just not happy with ME". From that moment on, I made the conscious decision that I was going to do something about it. I joined a gym and started working out, watching fitness videos online and on social media… the whole nine. I became enthralled with the process of weight loss and working out to better myself all over again. I'm a father and a husband and for the first time, I felt like I wasn't in a place where I could physically keep up with my family or be active enough to spend quality time with them. Fast forward two & a half years later and I've lost 96 pounds and have kept it off. I'm now making that conscious decision again daily and I've fallen in love with the entire process of fitness, health and wellness for oneself. I have found a true passion in bettering myself and creating better habits in my life overall.

My passion is to find and help anyone who wants to do the same. If you feel lost or confused about where to start, I'm here to help. If you simply have no clue where to go in or out of the gym, I'm here to help.

I enjoy getting to know new people and helping  formulate a solid plan that will help push you further toward success in life starting with your health and wellness. I look forward to helping you achieve the success with your journey whether it's weight loss, muscle growth, healthy living, or just an overall habit change that will help shape your future endeavors in health and fitness. My goal is to use my 3 cornerstones "Faith, Flavor, and Fitness" to help you ground, and cement a new lease on life that can carry on for many more years for you!

I am a certified personal trainer, and my passion is to encourage everyone, regardless of their age or current fitness level to improve their health through physical activity. As a trainer I work with clients to develop an individualized fitness program to assist them in reaching their goals. Participating in physical activity is proven to correlate with improved physical and mental health, enabling individuals to experience a higher quality of life. In addition to being a certified personal trainer, I am also certified to teach TRX, Pilates, and group fitness classes at the YMCA, as well as being involved with the Livestrong at the YMCA program. When I am not working, you will usually find me outside, hiking, traveling, and playing with my dogs.

ISSA CPT

Hello, my name is Jackson Roper.

I have been a level 2 CrossFit trainer since
October 2021 and have recently become an ISSA certified personal trainer.

I began a career in fitness because I love helping you and anyone else I can achieve their
fitness goals! God called me to this field, and I’ve known why since day one. I cannot outgrow
or outlive the thrill of supporting and pushing someone to achievement. To watch the subtle and
obvious benefits of fitness be realized by each client is its own reward to me.

Some of my strengths as a trainer are functional training, HIIT, circuit training, core
training, weight loss and skills training. Skills training includes goals like wanting to pick up and
carry groceries more easily, to be able to pick up your kids or grandkids without effort,
improving a one-repetition max or getting a better time on a one-mile run.

No matter what you bring into the gym, I plan to help you achieve a better you. Let’s get
it done right!

I have an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse in Louisiana for 10 years. I then became a stay-at-home mom for about 16 years. When I decided to re-enter the workforce, I did not feel that a return to nursing was the right course for me. I knew, however, that I wanted to do something to help others. Because I had a passion for fitness and nutrition, I became an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer. My philosophy of wellness is that it touches every aspect of our lives. It encompasses our physical health, our mental well-being, our spirituality, our work, and our relationships. I strongly believe that physical activity, good nutrition, and self-care can improve all of these areas of our lives. As a personal trainer, I can help you set goals to improve your wellness, make a plan to achieve those goals, and encourage you and walk with you as you reach those goals. I believe in using many different styles of exercise to keep our bodies functional and strong. I can design individualized training programs and can help clients find the kinds of exercise and activities that they enjoy and that work for them.  I am active in my church and help with our mission and outreach. I also love community theater and have had the privilege of being involved with Rome Little Theater productions both as an actor onstage and as a volunteer backstage. I love to teach and I love to learn.
