Pre-Academy Program

 

 

 

YMCA Rome Arsenal is happy to offer a pre-academy program for boys and girls born between 2019-2020! With recreational soccer as the base level, pre-academy is the next step in our developmental pathway and it is offered to all players who are interested in trying out for our competitive academy team. Our goal for pre-academy is to boost the players' development by focusing on technical work, tactical work, skills, attacking and defending abilities and more. This program gives the players an opportunity to train at a higher level, led by certified and experienced academy coaches. The program will introduce the players to Academy concepts to ease the transition from Recreational soccer into Academy soccer.

 The Pathway:

This image to the right shows the developmental pathway throughout our club. Our recreational soccer program give players a good starting point for their soccer journey, but the Pre-Academy program takes the level up a notch. It gives players a glimpse at what our Academy program looks and feels like and prepares them for tryouts for Academy teams. 

 

 

Fall 2025

The first practice date of our pre-academy program will be Aug 11, 2025. We will practice every Monday for 8 weeks ending on Sept 29, 2025.

Practice times are 6:30-7:30pm

Cost is $100

For boys and girls born in 2019-2020.
