Arsenal Soccer COVID-19 Policy

Players Safety Precautions

  • Each player will have his/her temperature checked prior to starting practice or games. Anyone with a temp of 100.4 or higher will not be allowed to participate.
  • Players will remain socially distant (6 feet or more).
  • Team huddles, shaking hands, and high fives are prohibited.
  • Players will not share jerseys or bibs.
  • Coaches should wear a mask when 6 ft. social distancing is not possible. When the coach is more than 6 feet from players the mask may be lowered. Coaches should wear a mask when checking a player’s temperatures.
  • In games, while sitting on the bench, players will be required to wear a mask unless they are able to socially distance (6 feet apart). Players are not required to wear masks while actively playing.

Players/Staff/Spectators that have tested positive, have had direct exposure, have had a suspected direct exposure, or have symptoms

  • If a player/staff/spectator is waiting for test results due to symptoms or tests positive for COVID-19, he/she will be quarantined for a minimum of 10 days and must have no fever or symptoms (without medication) for 72 hours prior to returning to activity.
  • If a player/staff/spectator has a known direct exposure to a person with COVID-19 that player should quarantine for 14 days. If a player receives a negative test, he/she should still quarantine for the 14 days according to DPH guidelines. This includes school quarantines due to direct exposure.

  • If a player/staff/spectator has symptoms of COVID-19, they should not come to practice or games. It is recommended that you speak with a medical professional to determine if you need to be tested for COVID-19.
  • If a player tests positive for COVID-19 and has been in the presence of his / her team at practice or games, within 48 hours of the infected player showing symptoms, the players with direct exposure will not be allowed to participate for 14 days.
  • Please notify the YMCA Arsenal Rome Director of Coaching, Lucas Levesque at (207)841-0305 or Fernando Debarros at (954)305-8920 if your player tests positive for COVID or has a direct exposure. Consistent communication between coaches, players, and parents is the best way to continue our season safely.
  • In the case of any issues or questions that are not addressed in this policy for outdoor sports, the YMCA will follow DPH guidelines.


  • Spectators are required to socially distance and wear masks when 6 foot socially distancing is not possible.
