SUMMER KINDER CAMP IS BACK!

 

Join Us For a Summer of Exciting  Activities!

YMCA Half Day Kinder Camp is open to children age 4 and 5 only.

 

Kinder Camp is a developmentally appropriate, half-day summer camp experience designed to introduce young children to the YMCA camp environment in a safe, nurturing, and engaging way. This program focuses on social-emotional learning, movement, creativity, and routine, providing a positive first camp experience for both campers and families.

 

Kinder Half Day Camp is designed to:

  • Support social-emotional development in early childhood
  • Build comfort and confidence in a camp setting
  • Encourage independence and positive peer interactions
  • Promote physical activity through structured and unstructured play
  • Introduce YMCA values in age-appropriate ways

A Week of Camp includes:

  • Camper’s Choice & Play during early morning times
  • Special Events
  • Skill building related to STEAM, Arts and Humanities, Sports, and Outdoor Recreation Play
  • Participates in Camp Reading Program Daily
  • Character development with a focus on our core values: Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility
  • Building cultural awareness through learning, curiosity, and shared experiences
  • A variety of onsite special activities, guest speakers, and facilitators
  • Breakfast and Small Mid-Morning Snack are provided if you wish to participate

*Dress for Playing Outside - Sneakers and Water Bottle are Required*

Dates:

  • WEEKLY CAMPS START: June 8th to June 26th, 2026 (Monday-Friday)

    • June 8th - 12th - Color Wars Week
    • June 15th - 18th (Closed Friday) - Water Works Week
    • June 22nd - 26th - Y-Olympics Week

  • CAMP IS CLOSED: Friday, June 19th for Juneteenth

Times:

7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

 

Weekly Rates:

  • $150/week for YMCA Members

  • $175/week for Potential Members

  • Cost includes a $75 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit at the time of registration.
