At the Y, we’re here to help you find your “why” – your greater sense of purpose – by connecting you with opportunities to improve your health, support young people, make new friends and contribute to a stronger, more cohesive community for all.
The Rome Y has served our community for over 130 years, offering programs and services focused on our primary areas of impact that help people achieve their goals and strengthen communities. With our breadth of offerings, you can find the support you need and help our community thrive!
We help young people to grow into healthy, thriving adults by offering supportive education and leadership programs, team sports and camps.
We support individual and community well–being. People of all ages, interests and skill levels can find the fitness classes, family activities and group interests they need to lead active, vibrant lives. The Y also collaborates with community leaders to bring healthy living within reach of all people.
Through community programs, local outreach and community engagement, we provide support and inspire action in our communities.
It is with the support of our donors, partners, volunteers and staff, that we continues to seek new and expanded ways to serve our community. More than ever, we are committed to helping individuals start, continue or re-start their fitness and wellness journey at the Rome Y.
We welcome you to join us by volunteering your time and talents and donating financial resources to sustain us. Together, we can be the difference!

Working together, we can do so much more to build a stronger, healthier and more unified community. In 2021, with the generous help of many community partners, donors and volunteers, the Rome YMCA has sought to answer pressing needs in our community.
